Default Looking for Halibut seat this week

I am available both Friday and Saturday. If anyone has an extra seat I have rod/reel and lead. I will help with gas, bait etc.
Thanks

No Tuna fishing is fun not work. You know that. I sure would like to get my second Oregon Halibut ever though. It was a lot of fun the last time I got to go.
Nancy I hope you whack a lot of Albacore on you next trip.

Yeah sure, it's fun...
Just wait 'til Nancy puts ya into the REALLY hot bite, and conveniently forgets to kick her down below 3 knots or so as ya fight a 25 lb Flyer. Took me a few rounds (25 fish) before I realized she was messin' with me

I can see where that would make it a little on the difficult side. Your arms must have felt good when you were done. I have a harness although I never used it.

I've reeled in many screaming and diving tuna this year actually. I do really enjoy the fun of landing them on rod/reel. Earlier this year when I was in them solo at 8 miles out, I landed 2 on rod/reel out of 5 I caught that morning.

When I have other people onboard, I prefer to let them reel the fish in, while I work to keep the boat free of the gear, and try to get additional hook ups. There's nothing like getting 3 or 4 fish on at a time. A true rush, and a mad dance on the deck.

I beleve that would be a rush 3 or 4 on at a time and I had no doubts about you reeling them in. I was just having some fun. Maybe when we go out again and get into a bunch of them I can watch you do the work on the rod and reel.
