Re: Any Deschutes reports?
Fished South Junction friday after thanksgiving, landed one and know of 2 others caught. Don't know on river temp., but air temp was freezing water in rod guides until about 10:00. This weekend is supposed to be "dirty cold". 25 for high. Might be tough. Still beats staying home though.

Re: Any Deschutes reports?
I went last firday and it was cold not as cold as to should be today. When its this cold the fishing is better after first light. So dont rush to be front row joe. There are bigger fish around and its the time of year you "may" see big idaho fish up this high hanging around. Line guides froze up a lot so be prepared for that also. There are still fish to be caught. I may go today after the wife and kid leave for the day. SHHHH!
Good luck

Re: Any Deschutes reports?
I'm heading over friday before the weather front hits.
I usually dont fish the D this late. Do the normal summer flys still work for swinging? I'm thinkinking i'm going to have to break out my sink tips.
thank you,
chris

Re: Any Deschutes reports?
Are the trout still active now? I am coming home from college here in Kentucky (UK) and was thinking maybe making a Deschutes trip for steelies or trout could be in order.
Any action at the locked gate now?
Thanks,
ANZ

The loop leech is a great looking fly. Looks like it would have great action.
