Default 10 days of bouy 10

Caught lots of fish. lost lots of fish. Tuna, chinook, coho and my freezer is just about full now.

Had a couple frustrating days but the good days out numbered the bad. Highlight was a 35lb nook and a 30lb nook for me out in front of Hammond and Chinook. Pop's nail a pair of 22 and 25 lb nooks and we both caught some of the 12 to 16lb variety. Release a few brute coho and kept a beautiful 15lb coho buck that fought like a nook.

We only did the ocean one time during the week due to "Cindy Lou" being down and out. Stuck with the little Bayliner did'nt feel the need to test the Coast Guard on their rescueing abilities.

Lots of wind and sun last week. One dense fog morning that visability was 100 ft. Talk about ghost ships! Got a little lost and was thankful for the GPS to get us back over near chinook. Seems we were drifting faster than I thought when I realized we were fishing in 100ft of water I thought it best to head back to safer more fishable areas.

All in all had a great time over there. Dead tired and a little sun burned. But that is what 10 days of fishing will do to you.

Bernie- glad you had a good vaca. It was nice to have another known free world radio voice out there with all the communist fish boats.
Glad you could take a day out from your busyh Salmon Schedule to ride on Minaki for what was probably the best alround day I've ever spent fishing/boating in Oregon too! The bar just keeps getting higher this year!

See ya on the water bud!

Mel that was a very memerable day indeed. I have only had one other day that can compare with that and it was 3 years ago on Joan E charters out of Depoe Bay. Now out of business unfortunatly. 57 tuna on a flat as glass ocean. Quintuples on. Sad part was it was all handlines and no rods.

Ejoyed both trips thoughly with you on Miss B Haven and with Tom on the Minaki. Two class captains that know their stuff.

Got some retrofitting to do this winter on Cindy Lou for tuna trips next summer. Heck I even own on tuna jig now. The addiction has started.

Really enjoyed the salmon fishing and the just getting away from work deal. Had a great time except for one day when people were being big jerks near 10 so we moved back to Hammond. Ended the day taking a 25lb nook, 15lb silver, 10lb silver and 8lb silver.

Cindy Lou is still in the shop and is expected to be there at least a week or two more. May get in a trip for salmon down there one last time this year late september if the weather holds out. May tow her down a time or two to Tillamook for ocean nooks too.

This weekend is the hotrod show in Ocean Park WA. 1600+ rods to look at, hear and drool over. Also building a dog house for my new well pump too.

Let me know how you do on Tuna Saturday Mel.

Chris, you are the true salmon junkie here dude. I think you are more crazy about them than I am.
