Default Popeye prepares for billfish

Just had to share this: On our way back to the ramp at south beach today, there is Popeye at the stern of his boat...he has one of his BIG trophy rod/reel rigs in the port quarter rod holder...he is just sitting in a chair motionless, staring back towards this rod...all alone...while the wind is screaming. I think he is doing some major meditation to get his billfish mojo working!!

He was sitting motionless because he was feeling the after effects of a bottle that he and Pilar shared the night before!
Can you guess the brand? Think south of the boarder...

Sitting motionless... Many possible definitions, but my guess would be that Popeye was visualizing that rod buckling, getting accustomed to his newly installed fighting chair, meditating on how it would feel, sitting there, fighting the mighty billfish... concentrating on how it would be landed... searching for the next thing he needed to think of or prepare for.

Or, I suppose it could have been the Hornitos

Careful there crew... I almost got banned from the boat the last time I went aboard with the green lable bottle  . Actually it was the day after. That's all I have to say about that
If we don't knock that stuff off he's gonna be forced to go anchor where we can't just walk over and bug him.

I may even have to request another dock besides "C" next time I have a boat to take to South Beach just so the temptation isn't there.

I would like to be welcome back some day...

HORRRRRRRRNITOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I too have an allergy to tekillya.
Hand me a good triple malt scotch on the rocks, or a fine Kentucky Bourbon thank you!
I do however slip up occasionally--and I am looking forward to that time with my Salty Dog friends (you thirsty Pilar). I always have to drive, and observe the 3 beer limit!!
Next time I'm gonna roll my sleeping bag up and crash in the back of my truck
As for billfish--You are my hero Popeye!!!
Brad and I hauled the tote overboard and onto the dock for ya--my hope is that you can put the rarest and most prized species ever to wander into the waters off of Oregon into it!!
