I know of a few guys who shoot them in their 1911's, but mine feeds other HP's just fine, so I haven't tried them. When they first came out, they were only offered in lighter weights so I wasn't interested at all then, but you just pointed out to me they now produce a round in 230gr. They are pricey, but what factory ammo isn't nowadays.

The ammunition is marketed as a self defense round, but in any wound ballistic demonstrations it fails miserably. There is simply not enough penetration with the round and if you are trying to wound something, then you've got the right ammo.
I've had cops bring the ammo in for testing and then stand there shaking their heads, wondering why they bought it.
Pick out a good quality HP round, with bullet integrity that will handle any of the barrier materials you will encounter in a shooting situation:
Heavy clothing, wall board, plywood (door material ) or glass. You want a round that will expand, stay together and penetrate.
Speer, Federal, Winchester all offer quality in this category.
