Default Interesting bird cleaning device

I suspect this would be illegal to use in Oregon unless the legs are recovered.

Did'nt some guys get into trouble a while back for waste of game birds because they were breasting only and discarding the remaining parts of the bird? I would think this device (While very efficient!) would promote the illegal practice of breasting.

Isn't this the same technique as popping the head off and lifting the wings while stepping on the legs?

I'm not much into bird hunting (Not sure why that is). So this leaves me wondering if there are any bird hunters that enjoy cleaning their ducks & geese. Not only enjoy but look forward to it.

After all ... if you are not cleaning ducks or geese you probably didn't get to shoot any. It's like doing dishes maybe. You didn't get to eat anything if your dishes are not dirtied. (Fast food and other eating out aside)

Maybe the dressing is one reason I don't go bird hunting?

If one owned a Butt Out and hunted waterfowl the odds are strong that you'd have to own one of these too.

I wonder what something like that would look like if it was meant for big game? Would probably take more than one person to pull the deer through.

Looks pretty neat. It would then be easy enough to go back and skin out the legs. (Which, btw, are my favorite part of ducks and geese).

My concern would be that it is not as easy as he makes it look, (like some other info-mercials) and many birds would be mangled before one "got the hang of it".

Making it that easy to get the breasts might inspire some "breasters" to invest a little more effort to get the legs.

I could have used that in Canada this season. I wonder how well it works on honkers?

Interesting. The things people dream up.....I can see where as a guide this might really make your clients happier.
I also think just because it's a breasting tool doesn't mean that you shouldn't take the legs as well. It's just makes the breasting part of the job easier. Want not waste not! Besides it's not only the ethical thing to do..but the law.
I'm sure if he can make a tool to pop the breasts off, he probably can make it pop the thighs off as well.

I cook the thighs in a pressure cooker w/ BBQ sauce and pack the boneless shredded meat up in butter tubs for shredded goose sandwiches. Yummy stuff too.
I'll take all the thighs you don't want.
Seriously!
