Now, how can you go and make a claim like that, that it's a "tuna boat", when I don't see any mention of the huge fish boxes or high speed freshwater ice maker! Maybe that's what they mean by "queen size pullout futon settee" ... you pull out the frou-frou cushions and pitch the fish in there?

It is a pretty ride, though. Customizing is what makes it one's own.

The 33 Bertram is my idea of a great boat! I have had them on the brain for years (thus the big head!) Truely a rough water ride, though a little wet for some. Tough and durable with speed and room to fish. I think I am drooling!

Nancy,

Nah... A Bertie 33' is a bit on the small side. And the Crusaders have to go. Gas has no place in a big boat.

If you are really interested in how a Bertram handles the North Pacific, call my nephew, Capt. Rich Oba, at Pacific Pioneer Charters in Winchester Bay. 541-271-1967. He is a sponsor of ifish and fishes a Bertram 38'. He can give you all the scoop on Bertrams and what is good and bad about them. He is currently fishing practically all tuna trips now and is getting some decent scores on rod and reel for tuna.
