I lost my Salty Dog flag!!!
As ive written the last couple of days about the great trip I had to british Columbia, I couldnt help mention this mishap.
Last winter i was fortunate enough to get hold of a Salty Dog flag. I couldnt decide how to display the flag on my boat (what to use as a mast).
Well, after several days of no sleep and lots of fishing i ended up with a broken Ugly Stick tiger rod. It broke about three guides down . Perfect.
I took some whire and attached the flag and proudly displayed it while running all around Vancouver Is. After several days i looked up and realized the wire i used was too soft and it had worn and broke .
So,am I the first to donate a Salty Dog flag to the Pacific ?
While my family and friends were having dinner at Pier's , I noticed that they had a collection of flags that had been donated by folks who had stayed there . I instantly regretted only getting one flag. I would have donated one also.
Any way , is there any chance of having some more made by the same company ? Maybe Lee, corrirod , could send me the address and ill get a few made.
Buy the way ,I wore my Salty dog hat all summer and it is now fadded to a white and brown puppy with eye patch. Hi, Ho. id. painter

I too would be interested in getting a salty dog flag...maybe as you say get a few and some of us without one can pay you for one.

Re: I lost my Salty Dog flag!!!
I believe the minimum order is 25 burgees.
Maybe Coryrod can be talked into coordinating this again. If so put me down for 2 .

Re: I lost my Salty Dog flag!!!
Rod,
Can you give us a run-down on where/how to get a new order going, and maybe somebody will pick up the flag and carry it for a while .
I can't find your old post when you talked about ordering hats/shirts direct from Port Authority. And where did the burgees come from?

Re: I lost my Salty Dog flag!!!
Pilar and I lost one the first time we hoisted it. Took off running up the Columbia after a ghost net hunt and an island exploration and it went sailing off the antenna somewhere. It's probably somewhere in the pacific by now. It would be great to have another spare.
I don't think meeting a min. of 25 would be a problem at all. Wonder if they still have the screen or if we'd have to pay for another set-up?

Inernational Burgee Registry
On this website, there is an Ifish Burgee if you look under PRIVATE/IFISH.NET
Since I'm relatively new, I need to ask "is this the Salty Dog Flag?"

Re: I lost my Salty Dog flag!!!
Sorry for the late reply, I just got in from the coast.
I've been thinking about starting another order of both flags and gear. I'm researching some new gear as we speak.
I would like to find out who it was I spoke with on Ifish that had a better way to handle the order processing. Some mentioned they could setup a sort of online form for people to fill out. Anyone know anything about this?
I'll go ahead and start checking on pricing again and looking into some better apparel if anyone has any ideas please post them here or email me directly.
Thanks.
Oh yeah, Boatdog, that's us! And the guy that runs the site is the guy that will be doing our burgees.

Re: I lost my Salty Dog flag!!!
Corrirod, Check with Slow Roll. He has a relative in the industry and has been chatting with me about this. He probably mentioned it to you, too. Thought we'd hash it out at the next TA meeting, but that probably won't happen for another month or so.

Re: I lost my Salty Dog flag!!!
Put me down for two flags and two hats. I was after one once before, and now I see there is enough interest that we can put together an order. I would be much apreciatve.

Re: I lost my Salty Dog flag!!!
I can help set you up a pay pal account, and host a web site where you can order them.
The money can go straight to corrirod if you let me set it up that way.
Course, I could also add it to the ifish gear page, if that's easier, and then just write you a check when it's all over, and then delete that item from the page.
If I can help, let me know.

Re: I lost my Salty Dog flag!!!
I was on an extended trip to California, without access to a computer, the last time this subject came up. If there is going to be burgees, shirts etc available I would definitely be interested in purchasing some. Tuna blood colored would be my first choice!!

Re: I lost my Salty Dog flag!!!
Gotta be honest. Never paid much attention to the Salty Dog post. Is this just a bunch of ifishers who belong or can i join in. A flag would be great for locating other ifishers. I would buy a flag.

Re: I lost my Salty Dog flag!!!
Cagey,
You're welcome to join in. There is also an Ifish flag available. Just click on the button at the top of the page, below the Lamiglas ad, that says "Ifish Decals or Hat Orders". Otherwise, if you'd prefer a Salty Dog flag just hang in there till we figure out the details.

I know we need a couple of hats and possibly some other attire.
I'm sure Skein would help with this ordering situation if needed. He's retired, you know....

Re: I lost my Salty Dog flag!!!
Hello Rod,
Yup! It's true my Salty Dogs flag is on the bottom of the bay attached to my light pole. I don't think the light is still on.
Put me in for one when you make an order and also a hat which was swiped when I left it at a resturant, so I need one of dem also.

DipSea - Haha! First we make Skein take a mod job and now he's going to run apparel orders? He's likely to wish for his job back!
Anyway, I know John could use a hat or 3. I could probably use another shirt or 3 (mine goes missing from time to time... until I find it in my son's room
