Free Tuna Recipes
My wife Vickie works at Roth's in Woodburn. She is the meatwrapper and runs the fresh fish case.
Today she brought home a big stack of recipe pamphlets from the Oregon Albacore Commission. Each one contains 10 recipes. I tried one a while back and it was awesome.
She also has some pamphlets called the "The Whole Fish Story". It contains information on care ofter the catch, freezing, canning, nutritional information, and some recipe ideas. On the other side is carking instructions, with diagrams. Not that you tunaholics need any help  , but it's interesting.
The only way I can think of to distribute these to those that want them is for you to send me a self addressed stamped envelope and I'll send you as many copies as you want. I have about 25 each, first come, first served.
E-mail me if your interested
You know what's funny, she had Albacore on sale a couple of weeks ago and they couldn't hardly give the stuff away!!! She had to throw most of it out.

Re: Free Tuna Recipes
If possible I would like to get two copies of each item you were talking about. I would like to find out your address that I can send a envelope to. Thanks!

Woody - sign me up.
Some folks don't know what albacore is. Terrible shame! what the store needs to do is get someone in there with a little table and a George Foreman grill.

Re: Free Tuna Recipes
Sounds like they need some marketing help!
Get a grill out in front of the case and give out a few samples and you won't be able to keep it in stock!

Re: Free Tuna Recipes
Woody- you got mail! thanks!
PS- Albi is the most sensative fish I ever tried to cook. Until you learn not to overcook it it did not appeal to me at all.
PSS- it's still better fresh and raw! No recipe required (well 'cept for the Soy and Wassabe)

Re: Free Tuna Recipes
Albacore tastes rotten -- It's not fit for human consumption. Don't eat it and especially don't go fishing for them because it is addictive as in drugs and all!
I will out of the goodness of my heart fish for and eat those horrible fish called albacore. You don't have to thank me it be my duty as a "good" hoomin beanin to protect youse innocents from this creepin harm.

Re: Free Tuna Recipes
Edsr, I wish you could see the 'before' and 'after' pictures of you, Ed the TUNA! freak as I do.
What happened to you, bud? Or the rest of team Doh boy for that matter?
Yep them tuners are e-vile, best to leave them, sea going boats and strong drink alone lest you end up like edsr.
Oh well there is always a TA meeting coming to a pub or cantina near you soon.

Re: Free Tuna Recipes
The blame for the sorry state of my needing a tuna fix can be squarely, no doubt about it, placed on the shoulders of "Pilar", Swoard Boat
Adventurer. Thanks John!
