Default TrimTabs for 175 SJ

I posted this on Salty Dogs too. I meant to post it here. sorry.

I have been researching trimtabs for my 18' Alumaweld 175 SJ.

I've found 3 kinds: the ones that adjust automatically, the kind where you attach 2; one to each side of the jet and the one by Pace that is designed to attach directly to the jet.

Trim tabs should allow planing at slower speed thereby getting better fuel consumption and better travel and control in rough water.

Has anyone installed trim tabs to their 175SJ?

If so, what kind and how do they work??

Have you checked out the trim system by place diverter. I believe it is www placediverter dot com. Theirs is hydraulicly adjusted and attaches directly to the bottom of the jet.

Wow, kinda surprised you would need them with that combination. I have a 20' Alumaweld/SportJet combo. It planes in an instant and will hold a plane down in the low 3000rpm bracket. Its the quickest planing & best plane-holding boat that I have ever run.
