Default Newport Bar Crossing

On Sat the Low tide is at 8:47 am with an 8ft difference. NW Swells will be 4 ft.

Will the bar be uncrossable at 6:00 am in a 19' boat?

Check the bar conditions on the phone - all 541
Newport 265-5511
Win Bay 271-4244
Florence 997-8303

For the smaller bars like Win & Flo town it seems marginal - aren't we expecting a larger swell ?

Skipper...I would be a little leery of it, because you also have to allow for the increased ground swell on the bar

I have to agree with Popeye don't try it in the dark for sure! Also you will be in the "bull" part of the runoff where there will be lots of current velocity. Careful!!!! It was quite foggy here today also. And NW wind growling too. Rot's 'o Ruck. Chillyone.......
