CREW NEEDED FOR THIS FRIDAY 8-29-03
Big Jon, AKA, Puffin, is at the beach this week and needs two crew members to fish Halibut, Salmon, Lingcod this Friday. 8-29-03 He fishs out of Newport. Here is the cel number 503-522-8191
The Puffin is a fish killing machine, and the skipper is a Salty Dog for sure. He needs two crew members. I believe he has plenty of tackle, but call and confirm.
Peace, Tom

Call Tom Gilberts at 503-774-7668 to confirm, the cel does not work at the beach very well.
Peace, Tom

So far it's not looking good for weekend trips that're planned. :depressed:

Re: CREW NEEDED FOR THIS FRIDAY 8-29-03
After posting that I'd go last night, decided against the trip after checking the current condtions and forcast. It's going to get UGLY out there. The combined seas are expected to be 8 to 9 foot at 6 seconds......then there's a serious outgoing tide in the morning. The bar at Newport is going to be nasty between 6 and 8:30am, possibly all day with big rollers.
Time to think of something else for this weekend.
be safe,
Gregg

Re: CREW NEEDED FOR THIS FRIDAY 8-29-03
Nice job on the Kings, good to see someone in such high fish spirits. The bite has been good on the pile for the last few days. The biggest one that came in today was a 125lb. halibut. What a fish
