Tuffline Knots?
I've been tying the clinch Knot from hell on Tuffline (Double the line over, 3 loops through the eye, 6 wraps and back through the loops).
There has to be an easier way!
I tried a palomar on, for fishing tomorrow. It seems tough enough. But, before I go out and find out the hard way (losing a fish) has anyone used a palomar on Tuffline with successful (or disasterous) results? Any other suggestions?

Re: Tuffline Knots?
Double the line, Wrap it 4-5 times, back through the loop and pull it tight. Clip the ends. I have never had a knott come out.

Re: Tuffline Knots?
A Bimini twist is a pain to tie, but holds well and you can tie on a bumper...

Re: Tuffline Knots?
Either a well tied Palomar, or a Trilene knot should never fail. I have used both with good results

Re: Tuffline Knots?
The Palomar is a 100% strength, none slip knot, and easily the best IMHO. Plus it's simple, just make sure everything tightens up evening, which is the only problem once in awhile.

Re: Tuffline Knots?
I have tried many different knots with the tuff-line as well and what I sarted doing was just tying the normal fishermans knot but instead of going through the eye of what ever lure or swivel once I go through it three times and just tie the regular knot. When cinched down tight I have never had a problem with it slipping.

Re: Tuffline Knots?
Ditto that Husker. The Uni knot is hard to beat. Use either the Double Palomar or Uni, both are great for tuffline or any of other Spectra lines

Re: Tuffline Knots?
Palamor Knot for me. Quite possibly the easiest and quickest knot out there. Have Knot had a problem with it yet. have used it both on Mono and braid.

Re: Tuffline Knots?
The knot that's worked best for me without any failure at all is the tufline knot. When you buy a spool just tear open the box and use the knot diagram inside or you can find it on their website (can't post a contact due to AUP). It doesn't take any longer to tie than any other knot and it holds up really well.

Re: Tuffline Knots?
I agree with Big TULE....the uni knot is the way to go....use it on Mono and Tuff Line....
On Tuff Line I double the line then tie the uni-knot

Re: Tuffline Knots?
uni knot or double rivers inlet knot if I want to take the time. And I agree look at the brochure that comes with the line and practice the knots at home!
