Default Where to Stay in Depoe Bay?

Can I get a slip?
I need to stay on the boat if at all possible...
This will be my first launch from this port...

We stayed in Kurts boat in the parking lot the last time I went with him, and I slept in my car when I went with SJ. climb in the parking lot...

Sport salmon season for silvers (coho) has ended and it appears
that many of the sport boats have pulled out leaving slips open. Call
the Harbor Masters office and ask Gary. If there is a slip open, I'm
sure he'd be happy to fill it!!

I've slept in the boat while in the parking lot and while in a slip...either way, you won't get much sleep.

You have diesel rigs at the ramp seemingly at all hours of the night.

When in a slip -- the boat is always rocking at Depoe, plus the creaking sound of the dock. Not any where near as quiet as South Beach. Oh, then you get the CG saying "come out where I can see your hands!" -- that's a story all to itself.

That is my experience there....the best remedy is a bowl chowder and several beers at the Sea Hag

The worst of two evils IMHO is to leave the boat on the trailer and launch in the a.m.

good luck

Ditto that Mark. Should be plenty slips available now.

Boiler Bay RV Park has tent sites available with showers, laundry, fire pit, ect. and is only a mile and a half to the north. Maybe two miles. $21.20 a night

Boiler Bay RV Park (541) 765-2548

Martin's Trailor Harbor just above the bay might have an RV spot open. (541) 765-2601

I could probably clear out enough space in my shop (large modern shop) for some of you to camp out there with an alarm clock included if you would like. Approx. 4 blocks above the bay.

Thanks guys, but I have arranged the slip and trust me, I'll sleep like a baby. I haven't slept for 22.5 hours and I still have to make it to the beach. Lots of coffe and stops when I need them.
After I get my boat situated I am going to meet with whoever makes it by then to the parking lot to make an ice run . A little dinner, maybe a beer then nighty night
