Default Willamette 600 series tag

I was looking at the 2009 regs and it states for the 615 tag, there were 468 1st choice applicants and 3,300 tags available. I put in for it and did not get it. Are they still converting the old 800 series tags to the 600 series? Doesn't make sense that I did not daw with those odds.

There were actually 10,468 applicants for that tag. You may want to check the 2009 regs again. I just looked it up. 75% of tags go to people with the most points and the other 25% go to random drawing. It may take a few years before you draw that tag. Make sure you have a place to hunt before putting in. Very hard unit to find any good quality land to hunt.

It must be a a typo in the Regs, as it clearly states 468 1st choice applicants. Thanks for the info, and yes I have a buddies nursery to hunt. He hates this time of year with all his nice trees being ripped up.

The on-line version has it right. It must be just in print.

You can find your actual draw odds here:

Can you introduce me to your buddy. I have 10 more days that I could help solve one of his problems.

Actually...if you have a drift or jet boat put in on the Santiam under I-5 take out at the ferry landing on the Willamette. Drift slow and glass!

As I recall, you have put the brakes on a good Blacktail buck or two

Most of that property on that drift is private, so be careful.
