black bear hunting

hello,I have always bought a black bear general tage while out hunting deer and elk and have not had the oppertunity to encounter one yet.
last sunday after 2nd season elk had ended, me and my daughter were in the trask unit around jorden creek area and tried to call in some coyotes and maybe a bear.
we tried six different spots for atlest half hour each and nothing.

i would really lioke some advise ,tips ,info anything that could help this is new to us and we want to try it again

get out in august as the bears are everywhere. they are really tough this late in the year. They like the heat, berries and bees.
