Default Penn Int Reel Repair (Desperate!)

Does anyone know of a local outfit that does Penn International Reel repair? Gotta get it fixed fast!

I've heard a lot of people talk about Ollie Damons up here doing reel repair but I've never used them. <non-sponsor contact info removed>

Randy at Harry's in Newport does some reel repairs, but I think he sends out most of the Penn's if it's anything big.

Howard in Depoe Bay (can find him near Dockside Charters usually) also does repairs and is who I generally take mine to for work. He does all my penn's.

Popeye,

If there's any charge, I'll pay it. I don't know what I did, but I was the last one to use it.

Hope you get it fixed in time.

Penn Reels are easy to work on. I've reassembled one in the dark on the tailgate of Ocean Bright's Yukon. Parts are hard for me to get. I'm in Salem but can't get down to Albany to look at it as I have to drive to Bremerton in a few minutes. I'll be at Ollie Daimons this afternoon picking up drag parts for my 114H.

Popeye
Penn reels website has exploded views of all their reels and parts. Was the problem the inability to engage or disengage? If so the pinnion gear is just stuck on the spool spindle. A little tapping on the spindle removes the stuck gear, lighter fluid removes the gunk and all is well.

I don't know how quickly you need your reel repaired, but if you want to call or email for details on turnaround time I'd be happy to talk to you.
Thanks,
Al
