Default Bow Hunting close to Sandy?

Does anyone know of any land close to Sandy to bow hunt? I have an elk bow tag and a 600 series deer tag and deer bow tag. New baby boy prevented me from going out during the regular season. So does anyone know of an open area or private with permission that would be a good bet to fill one of my tags. Could do a trade for some springer trips if things work out.

No elk opportunities this late anywhere around there. Linn & Marion Co. outside of the MHNF only. There is access up off Wildcat Mt. Rd. for deer, but I wouldn't park my rig anywhere around there and leave it.

Isn't there alot of private property up there? Or do the timber companies allow access?

I get a hard time everytime I try to hunt this area. The last time I parked at a logging gate that said it was open to walk in some logger told me he was going to have my truck toed if it was parked there opening day. Hum Funny same logger was hunting that area.
