Default Depoe Bay Chinook pic's Sat. 8/23/03

Salmon season closed?

Today out of Depoe Bay. Charter boat Affair out of Dockside Charters. Limits are more the rule than the exception with Loren on the Affair and the chinookin' is obviously still holding up rather well! All three Dockside boats boated limits of smileys today!

Today some whitesides decided to make off with some of his flashers, etc. when he was fishing chinook 9 miles out. Yesterday the sealions decided to take a couple free lunches and modify one of the chinooks pictured below. Loren and some others have been loosing quite a few chinooks to sealions lately. A nice chinook and a pretty happy camper.

The chinook fishing was the best that they have seen in many many years last year and this year is unbelievable!

By the way, yesterday he brought in a chinook head courtesy of a California sealion. Do you have to tag those?
