Default Spark Plug and Church Silver Carnage 8/22

Hopped the bar at first light and headed for #2. We dropped gear and trolled for about 15 minutes and didn't see a net fly. I picked up and headed due South from the plug about 2 miles and found some fish. We put limits for three in the box and was headed back to the bar by 9:00 A.M. to fish inside for the third fish. Buoy 10 looked pretty dead so we headed for the bridge. It took a little bit but we scratched the last three fish and was off the water by 1:00.

The ocean was good and the bar was nice. Gotta go vac pac some vittles and get some

Nice seeing you Rip N Lips, did you guys find some fish by the church? I got to talk to Skipper and AndyCoho as well. Hope you guys put a hurtin to em

Tacklebuster-

After a disappointing time in the ocean, 2 hatchery and 12 natives, 3 undersize coho and a couple undersized nooks we came in as the tide was turning and we didn't want to be on the wrong side of the bar...

Ended up above the bridge and got 1 hatchery coho, and a 20+ lb chinook.. release 2 natives before the wind kicked up...

Not too bad considering it was my maiden B-10 trip in the new boat!!!

Funny that we found your boat twice in all that crowd...

Glad we saw you guys. I was wondering how long you were going to stay out in the salt. When we were running back in, it was pretty close to high slack. Thanks for the e-mail and I'm glad you guys found a spot to spank those Salmon

Way to go Tacklebuster!

We had a great day Friday and Saturday as well. I took my wife, a friend, his 10 year old daughter and his girlfriend fishing both days. My friends daughter had never caught a fish larger than a trout before and his girlfriend had never been fishing before. So I had a little pressure to put them into some fish, without heading over the bar.

But I did not disappoint...

Withing 10 minutes of putting the lines in the water braid was screeming off the reels (man do I love that sound!)

All told the 10 year old limited with 3 dandy silvers (I don't think, I know she is hooked on fishing ) and we all were plenty wore out from fighting fish...

Today fishing was a little slower. My friend and I headed over the bar first thing this morning while the girls slept in. We found a few scattered silvers between 2 and the CR buoy. We trolled South, East and West but very little action. So I headed to my favorite little rock pile and we pulled off 1 16# Ling and a 10# ling then we finished off the fish box with some nice black bass with one pushing 8 pounds

We picked up the girls and trolled outside of Hammond and found only 2 more silvers for my friend's girlfriend, met Skipper, talked to Crabbait (saw his new boat from a distance; NICE BOAT!)

But it was a great weekend! Talked to many other Ifisher's and even met a few, man I love this group!

Great report AndyCoho and kudos to you for putting those people into some fish I do love a mix bag in the fish box. One of these days we need to hook up and do some fishing
