I'm probably launching tomorrow night at South Beach to fish halibut on the Pile. However, I really want to go to Depoe for tuna, so I'm monitoring the forecast.

Hi Bruce, I'll be out with Phil in "Andiamo" tomorrow from Newport. He'll be putting the boat in tonight & back to his slip at the Embarcadero. Will ya be there Friday?

BTW, I spoke with Mike (Blitz) earlier today. He had a 1/2 day rockfish trip (limits of course). Said the ocean weather was fine. Of course, ya gotta consider that he has a battleship, and he's a real salt. But from his report, and the 46050 readings, it looks like very fishable weather right now at the rockpile. Hopefully it'll hold for a day or two. We'll shoot for the pile in the am.

Alright, I'm sick of work and have the big blue on my mind. Better shut down the puter, pack the truck and head towards Newport. Depart S. Beach by 0600 and be on ch 78.

Probably gonna fish the pile for flatties first, then maybe some salmon. But of course will consider chasing Tuna! if there's any decent reports? What's been happening the past few days, catching any bullets or just observing the slop out there this week? Recent Tuna! info greatly appreciated.

BF- Pretty close.........hydroseeded 31,000 sq ft yesterday.....sprinkler system works great.....minor tweaks and a few shrubs left to plant, but the boat has been in dry dock way too long.....tomorrow looks like the best chance of the weekend......unless you want to come back and dig me a couple more sprinkler lines...thanks again....probably see you in the am.......

Acording to tradewinds charters the weather was bad today on the blitz. I had a tuna trip schedualed for tomarrow and it was cancelled by mike because he predicted oacen conditions were going to be bad. not sure what to think now with Mark Mc gave in his report

I've got to apologize for whatever Tradewinds told you about my trip today. Weather was fine for the inner reefs and it will be okay tomorrow for the rockpile. The problem is with the tuna trip. The offshore weather today was horrible. Ken on the Irish got his butt kicked and had to turn around early. The water was cold and no tuna to be found. Tradewinds confused my report about Ken and got it wrong. I cancelled the trip for tomorrow because of a very unfavorable reports on the water temp., and the SST shows a cold water band pushing in from the northeast. Also Kens report in conjunction with the weather predictions is not good for the offshore trip. I want the best trip for my custormers and will not run a trip if it is almost certain we will not catch the bullets. Sorry to put a damper on it, but I hope you understand.

Captian Mike thanks for the reply. I understand what you said. The tradewinds had every thing confused. They told me you were out tuna Fishing and you had to turn back. I hope to hook up with you soon and catch my first tuna. No problem on the way things turned out. I have a lot that came up at work and probly should get them done.
