Default Easton Axis N-Fused carbon 340's vs 400's

OK, so I'm shooting a Bowtech General set at 68 pounds with a release and a 29" arrow.

Anyhow I started with the Easton Axis N-Fused Carbon 340's and they shot well after getting the bow tuned in properly.

Recently I went on a shopping spree (on ebay) and bought a dozen more Easton Axis N-Fused 400's. I screwed up and bought the wrong weight.

My question is, how much difference will the 400's shoot? Should I keep them or sell them? I can't really send them back....

These are the arrows that might be for sale so if you're interested, let me know....

I have been going through this same thing. I shoot 70# and 30" DL. I ended up with Easton Axis 400's. I CAN get them to tune, and shoot pretty good. With broadheads, I can still group good, but much less forgiving. I would sell the 400's and get 340's. The stiffer arrow will stabilize broadheads better, plus you will have more weight and kinetic energy.

My 400's are in the corner now, and being replaced with 340's. I am also ordering up some 300's to shoot with 125gr tips, to see how they do.

Keith, I am shooting the 340 infused out of my new Mathews and they shoot great, I dont think you have to worry about too much. You may lose a couple feet per second but gaining more kenetic energy in the long run. I'd shoot them and see if you like them, you may not notice a difference.

What? Wil? a MATHEWS??

Keith my internet vote is to stick with the 340's and sell the 400's on ebay- you definately want to stay with the same arrow no matter what so you got to pick one imo.

Beardbuster,

Please don't tell us you went to the darkside and are shooting Mathews now? What happened to you shooting Bowtech's?

If these are going to be a hunting arrow, definitely go heavier, those (400's) are underspined for your bow anyway.

Well then I'll be selling them and ordering the 340's....

Thanks guys!

Anyone need any Easton Axis Arrows? I paid $119 plus shipping so 1 dozen $100 plus shipping.
