Willy goose?

Happy black friday! aren,t you glad your not shopping? Can someone tell me if one is going to hunt geese on the lower Willamette, does he need to pass the goose identification test? I know it is required for the lower Columbia and Sauvie island but not sure about the Willamette. Thank you

anythin on the west side of I-5 you need to have your goose permit

You must pass your Goose test before you can hunt Geese in all of the NW general zone too, not just the permit zone. (2008-2009 Oregon Game Bird Regs, page 20 highlited in RED) You only have to check your birds in the permit zone. So take and pass your test before you start hunting.

The area is much broader than this. Get the regs, read them, and compare where you will be hunting. Unless you are south of Eugene, or east of the cascades, you need to take the test.

Thats correct, I have a spot west of I-5 that is in the permit zone!
