Default Chinook Ranch ?

About the time that I think I have seen it all, something happens that reminds me what a truly interesting place the seas really are.
My latest experience came on the last all depth halibut days. We were fishing at the "Chicken Ranch." We had two really large halibut hooked up at the same time. One came unbuttoned and the other straightened out the hook and also got away. The third guy started to reel up to do the 500 foot bait check, then he says "I have a fish on too." As the fish comes to the boat it's....what? A 20lb Chinook Salmon. A first for me 35 miles offshore? Anyone else ever see anything like that happen? I wonder what will be next?

Remind me to tell you about the time we rescued a song bird at "Halibut Hill."

Last week we caught a coho on a cedar plug when we were trolling for tuna at 7 knots.

Yep, we hooked two (2) clipped coho 32 miles out on broomtails a couple weeks ago.

Ya just never know what's gonna happen out there. I love it!
