Default Where in Ilwaco

Last weekend I kept hearing a boat bragging about taking six nice lingcod from the ocean not far from Ilwaco. Im hoping to get our salmon quickly and go do some hunting on Saturday, is anyone have some numbers that would put me on a pile or a wreck. Thanks

Just fish the sunken jetty areas on the south jetty and "A" jetty. Best at high slack. Use bait as these fish are pounded to death with jigs

Be very careful on this drift, if there is any NW swell of any size (5'+) they can built very fast and tall with little or no notice, sometimes breaking.

The water jumps from 60' to 15' (with a drift from North to South) in just a couple of feet then falls to 50' to the south.

Bait is the best, use a mooching rig and a 3oz bannana weight.

This is a tackle eating drift, don't drop till your depth finder reads 22 feet or you'll loose a lot of rigs, not that you won't all ready

I,ve seen some nice lings cought off the sunken jetty. besides mooching try using a 6oz. crippled herring jig or a dart jig white or silver\blue color. WATCH FOR THOSE SNEAKERS !!!!!
