Well, the Sea Jypzee had a rough one this morning. I promised my 2 neighbor guys that I'd take them out for a Coho trip before the season closed, so today was the day. Figured we'd try to get out before the 25mph winds forcast for this afternoon hit.
Left at 06:00 this morning, ocean was absolutly beautiful!! Ran out to about 32 fathoms and put in the 3 lines....Not a whole lot can be said except to say that it was total mahem the next hour, and we had our 6 keeper coho and were on the way back into Depoe Bay by 07:30.
Was a rapid bite, with at least 2 triple hook ups. We even threw a couple of small keepers back in hopes of upgrading...they just kept hitting fast and hard. Only about 3 natives, and about 3-4 drive-by hook ups lost.
