Default Two day goose smack down

Layed a hurtin on the geese this weekend...First day out we had a great shoot with two limits filled by 9 oclock. The highlight of the day had to be the snow goose my buddy David shot...Id never seen one in real life and wow are they cool birds...Lucky son of a gun it was his first goose hunt ever (beginners luck ) the second best part of the day had to be watching the little man just annihilate the geese...do not put an SX3 in that boys hands because he will fill a limit in no time flat. After seeing his shooting his new nickname is sharpshooter...
Today was killer with geese in the dekes at 7:30...I couldnt help but laugh hearing my buddy whispering can we shoot can we shoot while Im trying to be as still as possible while checking my cell phone every two minutes to see if we were legal...I got extra enjoyment out of the day because my Dad was there and we havent gotten to hunt together in over a year...it was his first time in a layout and I think he really enjoyed the comforable afternoon nap in the sun...thanks guys for coming out I had a blast both days sorry for the poor shots that I called I still need to work on that aspect of the whole deal...we need to do it again soon...hammertime boys and kill that goose...

Looks like a good time with some friends. How is goose for eating? Never had it.

Thumbs up Re: Two day goose smack down

I recognize a couple of those guys. It pains me to see them abandon a hunting partner just because he has to work for a living on some weekends.

Congrats on the geese, looks like a good time.

The goose is great eating once you turn it into sausage or wrap it in bacon...yeah that was a great shoot Chris I had a lot of fun buddy hope we can do it again soon...one of the party almost got his card pulled on a goose that was a clear cut tav. but measured just .4 short of the Dusky culimen length...talk about sweatin bullets
