Harvest card - Fin Clipped Chinook
OK all you dogs, I have a questions that I have asked and get differing opinions. On your hatchery harvest card, can you tag a fin clipped chinook? Another question is, can you tag your fin clipped coho on your hatchery harvest card and a non-clipped nook on your original tag?
Look forward to hearing from you!!

Re: Harvest card - Fin Clipped Chinook
Kevin you can record fin clipped nooks on your hatchery harvest card along with your coho and steelhead. Adiposed in tact nooks go on your regular tag.
So, no fin nooks are free-bees on a hatchery tag.

Re: Harvest card - Fin Clipped Chinook
And, yes you can put a clipped fish on a hatchery card and a finned chinook on your regular tag the same day... as long as you dont exceed the total daily bag limit. (you could NOT put 2 fish on each card for 4 fish total on a single day)

Gotta make sure that everything is legal. Now another quick note, on the CR ocean is 26" on nooks and river is 24". Are we all on the same page??

Re: Harvest card - Fin Clipped Chinook
Do jacks and the 24" for nooks start above the bridge or at the 10???? Barbs in the river?

Barbs in the river are fine. You can even use a tripple hook leader or a trebble hook on spinners. Don't know as far as your other question. Short fish usually go back in my boat.

Re: Harvest card - Fin Clipped Chinook
C&E I know I was joking. Those jacks go in the box in my boat, But I think they are not jacks until they are above Tonge point. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Remember it goes to 3 fish a person tomorrow......YEEHAAAA
Will you be out there C&E?

Re: Harvest card - Fin Clipped Chinook
Here is what it comes down to officially. 2 ocean fish capped off by one river fish. Only one of the fish can be a nook. Tried to get this information off ODFW but that web page is down right now. I called Tackle Time and this is the information I got.
So How the heck are they going to monitor this?

Re: Harvest card - Fin Clipped Chinook
Last year if you got 2 in the ocean you were done fishing. You couldn't stop at B10 on the way back in and try for the 3rd. I dont understand the reasoning but that was the way it was explained to me. I guess you could take your 2 back to the truck and finish your daily possesion limit?

Re: Harvest card - Fin Clipped Chinook
I've got to, umm, get the boat out of the way tomorrow...down to Nehalem I think (yup, that's what's going on...wife and I hired the lawyers first, though, so it's smooth so far...)

Re: Harvest card - Fin Clipped Chinook
Oh yeah. 2 in the ocean and 1 in the river if I remember right. Monitor 68 and 11. Answer to Cindy Lou (boat name) or Catch and Eat. Either will work as long as I am not fighting a fish.

Re: Harvest card - Fin Clipped Chinook
 Is it two in the ocean and one in the river or three in the river none in the ocean?? Just curious if nooks at Bouy 10 are 24". Think that is what the paper said but I know Bill Monroe will not pay my ticket.

Re: Harvest card - Fin Clipped Chinook
two nooks above tongue point..one in the ocean and at buoy 10..dunno about jacks, but I believe that's only above tongue point.
I'll pay your ticket if you'll pick up my remodeling...

Re: Harvest card - Fin Clipped Chinook
I think it's 3 in the ocean or river just that you can only retain 1 nook below Tonge point.
Yeeha
