Running Mates Wanted for CR Tuna

Just talked to Mel ... "Running mates" means other boats to make the 100 mile run. Different from "open seats" ... none of those available.

Ok- looking for some Seaworthy 100 mile plus (round trip)range running mates for Tuna and maybe some combo bottom/salmon action out of the CR.
Dates set so far:

Friday 15th (I'm not going but Kamloops, my dock mate is and you can run with him for bottom and then Tuna on the return)

Saturday 16th - 2 boats out of Warrenton, 3-4 out of Hammond 5 am at the bar

Tues 19th - just Miss B Haven- looking for company 6 am bar crossing

Thurs 21st- ditto

Sunday 24th- ditto

Tides are crummy for Tuna runs 26th-29th. Weekend after Labor (Sept 6th) day I might be running as well.
I've been hitting Tuna bout 20 miles from the Spark Plug (CR bouy) but the NW wind may move the water south so it might be a longer run this coming week.

Boat is doing great. One major problem: I can get stuff for the boat faster than my brother and I can install.

Ocean sounds pretty crummy for Mon/Tue. Will probably work on the boat and hit it the rest of the week. Hoping for TUNA on Thursday.

Cancelled todays trip. The forecast was pretty much on after blowing like the dickens all day and evening Monday. Talked to a charter that was out this am before it started blowing again and he said it was 8-12 and really not much fun. Glad I didn't venture out. Took the oppertunity to bring the fish home and make more room in the boat.

Thursday is still on and so is next Sunday. Capn Dan is running with us thursday launching out of Hammond. Tackle Time is taking Lady Dee out Thursday too (and he needs a couple more folks if anyone wants to charter).
Headed back down in the morning to get fueled up and iced down. :smile:

Mel, Appreciate the warm invite and I wanna go tuna hunting but have my boat loaded up with salmon slayers. :smile: I am at the beach the next 10 days and I have your cell. Hopefully the 6th will work out weather wise. Will be in touch if I can make it. Don't have a computer at the coast so I won't be looking at this board for a couple weeks.
