From what I hear, the water is there but the tuna are lagging behind the currents a little and they're still out there 20 miles or so in good numbers. People are picking stragglers in very close though. The temps at the jetty yesterday was 62 degrees!! As far as structure, there isn't any unless you go SW and hit the high spot directly off of Cape Arago. This is where everyone halibut fishes, but there really isn't any need to head that direction for tuna. You can head straight out for them right now.
The last weather reports I saw looked pretty good for the weekend. Too bad I'll be in idaho.

It figures. Anyhow, the salmon bite has been great and my buddies nailed a ton of lings this last weekend also. One of them landed a 55 lb nook too just outside the mouth on saturday, so there's a lot of fish to be caught. If you want to bottomfish just head south from the jetties about 3 miles and you'll see the structure down there in 40-100' of water. Good to see some interest, but don't tell too many people how good the fishing is,

it's nice and quiet down here these days.
