Default 55 lb \'nook out of Charleston

Yes it's true. My buddy called me tonight and let me know they landed a 55 lber just off of the whistler on saturday. It was officially weighed at Englund Marine and they used three different scales to verify the catch. I'll see if I can round up some pics but it's the largest one I know about so far in the salt this year. Man I missed a good weekend of fishing chasing around a stupid bear. Sounds like a lot of people got into some great salmon fishing around here this weekend. I love the fall.

So is that what your moniker means... (bear) tailchaser? What does the tail of a stupid bear look like?

Off the fishing subject...did you get the bear of what. I went in the spring and saw a few small ones, nothing special. Gotta love SW OR for the bear!

Nope, no bear was shot. A couple were shot at, but the shooter didn't do a very good job on that end. I was just praying for him to hit one on saturday so I could go fishing on sunday, but to no avail. And bears have little stubs for tails, similar to a bobcat.
