Default Saturday tuna

Well, a feww of us passed on the halibut and salmon today and went for the elusive albacore. Marty and crew, Fish Assassin, and the Julie Rose all got out on a pretty nice ocean (at least most of the time! I was lucky enough to join them with my regular fishing partner.
The day started v-e-r-y slowly. Went to the "61 spot" with nary a bump. Went next to the area we got fish last week and earlier this week, nothing. Marty had one and FA reported some action nearer to Tuna Town area. We all drifted that way and finaly got some fish. It was not red hot but scores of 5-15 were reported. The fish were big and it was a great day fishing.
The water never got real blue but the temperature was good. Birds and dolphins were present but no sharks or surface tuna (that I saw). No big breaks in temp. It looks like the tuna will be turning on soon...with a little help from the weather.
This was my last trip for a while. Good luck to all of you and keep the carking going!
Got to meet a number of folks at the Depoe Bay carking station, as usual. Good to get to meet the folks I read about! It is always great running with Marty. I have been lucky to have fished with him a number of trips this year. He stays connected and involved with the other boats..thanks Marty!

WP, it was I, along with Dr Strangelove and Lucky Luke that were at the cleaning station in DB. Thanks so mucu for the filet and I promise not to overcook it. Will give it a shot today and see it I really want to go Tuna fishing for the meat of it or for the fun on it. I cannot visualize the battle those fish must be on a rod and reel.

Anyone have a special way of cooking a filet of tuna?
