Re: South coast tuna hunt!
Monday won't work for me Lepp. :depressed:
We're hitting it first thing in the morning though. When we got into them yesterday, we were about 15 miles into the good water. We sorta came in the side door via halibut hill. The warm water was running almost perpendicular w/the coast. There were several commercials working the 60deg water about 20 miles out and weren't seeing much action. Once we started trolling east, the bite slowed down a lot.
I think tomorrow, once we hit 60 deg water, we'll probably drop gear and just keep heading west, and probably a little south.
Planning on leaving the dock 5:30ish. Like you, boat is stripped down. I look like a floating ice chest salesman.
Oh, and I'm munching on a can of tuna that didn't seal. MMM, I'm glad it didn't.
