Default Where can I buy uncured prawns

I live in Vancouver, WA and was wondering if anyone knows of a good place close by to purchase high quality uncured prawns? I want to cure some up before the Springer run is in full swing. Thanks.

What fshklr said. I bought some yesterday, big bag of nice prawns for $5. Its hard to buy the prawn and buy the cure, then do the work for a 5 dollar bill. And they accepted cash as long as I had two pieces of ID

Thanks for the info guys. Any testimonials on the BC Angling prawns and if they catch fish? Even though it's a great deal I want to make sure they catch fish. Also, how do they keep their shape once you freeze them or is that even necessary with their cure?

Beerbellyfisher,

Thanks for the testimonial. What color do you prefer from BC Angling? In the past I've used the prawns from FM in the pink and seemed to do ok.

RED-RED-RED...oh ya...RED

They catch fish hands down!!! Great on springers and early summer run steelies in the CR!!

BC ANGLERS prawns are very popular and sell out 50 to 100 lbs in a morning. Best time to be there is before 10am.

Are these prawns frozen when you buy them? if they were frozen and thawed can they be refrozen? how many times can you do this with prawns and still catch fish with them?

not sure if frozen when they get them but if I plan on using all 8 dozen that week I will put into tupperware with 1 cup of rocksalt mixed evenly around them. This will toughen them up and they last the whole week without spoiling.
If not using that week, I take them home and lay out on wax paper and freeze for a few hrs till hard..then vac pac so they don't squish...when ready to use remove from package while still frozen and place into a ziplock or some rocksalt and tupperware. I usually do packages of 10's
