My 3D Oooops
So I went out to Black Forest in Silverton today with a couple of friends and had a great time whacking the 3D targets. On the elk, I used the wrong pin guessing yardage and shot a little high and stuck the elk in the horns (I thought that arrow was a goner as soon as I released). ooops So I had to take a pic with my camera phone.
Fortunately I tried another arrow in attempt to redeam myself and stuck it in the vitals right along with my friend's arrrows. Anyways, we sure had fun today!

Re: My 3D Oooops
Looking at the target elk, it looks like it has been hit everywhere but the horns!

Yeah, the log behind him is full of lodged field points where people other have missed, so I can't feel too bad. LOL

Re: My 3D Oooops
Isn't there a main artery in the antler, the right one I believe. A kill shot for sure.

Re: My 3D Oooops
That horn turned out to be pretty handy- right place at the right time . I've been there, done that, too, but without the antler to help me! Looks like good shooting by you guys!

Re: My 3D Oooops
Question is Black Forrest open to the public? Am new to the area and love to shoot 3D when can't shoot critters.

There is not much of an angle on that target so you wouldn't have to compensate too much. When shooting up or down, you always subtract the yardage.
