Elk spotted!

Saw a nice herd this morning in the Trask(west side). Probably 40-50 head feeding on an open hillside. Watchwed them for about an hour and a half and 15 minutes after the last 3 went over the ridge, two hunters walked the ridge line and went right through the saddle they crossed.

I found some to just couldnt get a shot. walked out a old skid road above a 5 year old unit i was buck hunting for deer i also have a cow tag on the way back to the truck i could hear them in the brush above me calling back and forth i made the dash back to my truck to grab the 338. went back in and met a hunter that came in from above and spooked the elk out think i will wait till the second elk season is done and then head back up...
