Default Worried there for a while

Well I was a little worried there for a while. Went out fishing this morning for a quick solo trip before work this afternoon. One Coho in the box around 30 fathoms straight out from Depoe Bay, then a long dry spell, with a few driveby hits, but nothing sticking.

Finally got out around 51 fathoms offshore and started getting some good hits fairly regularly. Released a couple of nates, and finally boated the second keeper for an L for the day.

Started out using my purple/blue/pink hoochie, got almost all my hits on that one...then during the dry spell tried the coyote spoon with only a couple of minor drivebyes. Finally switched back to the hoochie, and that was when things livened back up for the final count.

Saw Crabbait out offshore on my way back in, and the new boat. A very fine looking boat it is, and it looks like it will give him lots of hours of enjoyment.

Sea Jypzee,

Have you heard anymore from or seen anymore of Crabbait?? We think he is headed for ifishstock this afternoon.

Would you mind doing a check via your radio or such to see if he is back ok?
We had a "little" trouble with the "sister ship" and want to touch base with him to see if he had any of the same trouble.
We are back home doing some checking and scratching our heads.

Thanks a bunch and congratulations on another successful day of fishing.

We hope to be out there in our own very soon.

We cranked out the big boat "L" out of Newport but it was a lot slower than it was a couple of days ago. I was getting worried as well, it took 45 minutes of hard fishing to get the first one in the box. Then it was everything we could do to get that last fish

DSD - Sorry worked noon-midnight today so didn't get to see your post about Crabbait till very late. Hopefully he got in with no problems at all.

Tacklebuster - Great job on the L as well. Always fun to come in with that L hanging from the bow proudly.

SJ- Thanks for replying. We sort of determined Crabbait was OK and heard from him personally. Safe fishing and look forward to meeting you soon.

Crabbait - Glad all went well with your voyage and that you are enjoying the new boat. I know we will once we get a couple of things taken care of. We are soooo......anxious to get it "out there". Hope to accompany some experienced ifisher commrades on some initial voyages.

Hope ifishstock was a success. Sorry we weren't able to come. Next year.....
