Default South Coast halibut..

Not the best.. far from the worst ocean....

We picked up these two little guys.. 1 at 44lbs the other at 52lbs. Looked a little for tuna but didn't find any water close to being warm enough so I headed in.

Mellow and diamondback went tuna hunting after the halibut. not sure if they found any tuna or not..

Nice pic! Nice Fish!

Funny looking lingcod over on the left side. Must have been a hatchery ling.

I'm still confused about the halibut fishery down there. I thouht you guys got your quota earlier this year? Or is this a separate quota than the spring but season?

Be nice to know how the tuna was. Where are those guys anyway?

We are headed out tommorrow from Charleston, but most likely won't be on the water before 6:00. Maybe we will talk to you there VHF 78 or 19

sorry for the late post guys. It has been a l o n g day. Diamondback and I didn't get done at the ramp till dark. Why you ask? ummm, that's a different post.

I won't be hitting the ramp at daylight tomorrow. Just too tired. I might slip out there mid-morning though, but if I do, it'll be halibut only. I've got a lot of "stuff" to take care of, and need to get ready for Sunday. Right now, my plans for Sunday are to head straight out of Coos Bay on a tuna hunt. Any others?

I'm going out tomorrow, I plan on being at Bandon at about 7:30am. I'm just going for Butts and maybe salmon afterwards. We marked a ton of salmon just outside of the bar on the way back in.

Thanks for a great day of fishing MY

I think we are going to head out west first for tuna then cut back in for halibut. I give you a shout on 19.
