Back to fishing Oregon
Well it started out like we were going to have a good commercial season this year and our previous two trips out of port were good by any standards however our cod market on the east coast just got pulled and many of the fisheries are in a large decline over there from a commercial stand point. My longtime friend and partner in our longline business decided to sell his portion of the boat to another party and I have also joined him in doing so. I left Cape Ann last night and arrived back here in Oregon at 3 this mourning. My commercial days appear to be done for now and I still have a sled and drift boat here so I will be back at sportfishing here again. I will hopefully be able to fish with some of you here soon as the fall salmon a coming soon. We can talk swordfish all you want, just ask. I was in the longline swordfishing up until 2002.
