Default Sea Jypzee returns early with L stuck to bow

The Sea Jypzee went out early this morning with Yarndog and myself for some early morning Coho action.

We left at 06:00, dropped the gear in at about 35 fathoms from Depoe Bay, and had our first 2 fish on within about 5 minutes. We trolled on out to about 50 fathoms catching fish here and there on the way out and finished the boat limit off by 07:30 and back in dock by 07:45am.

What a great way to start a morning.

Depoebay Dan took a couple of pictures. My camera apparently is full, so pics are gonna have to wait till he can upload the one from his camera.

Overcast sky, visibility about 4 miles or so. Water about 3-4' swell, nothing big at all. Lots of LITTLE boats out there this morning for salmon.

We need to get you a set of flags like they have in Mexico and ports east, with a salmon, tuna, halibut, and ling cod flag for flying when you limit.
You won't be needing the marlin flag
Things are looking iffy SST wise for Monday eh?
Keep in touch sister!
Charlie.

Sea Jypzee and Yarn Dog,

It was great meeting you both in person this morning at Depot Bay. Looks like you guys had a good morning of fishing with a nice catch. Talk at you again soon.

Wildhawg - I don't know what you're talking about as far as the SST's not looking good for monday. If the skies clear enough to get a fully clear image, from what I'm seeing from this afternoons image on terrafin, the 61 degree water is clear up on shore already!! We're looking at a possible easy tuna run coming up if it keeps up like this!!

Now, about that Marlin flag?

Knucklebuster - Naaaa, with no downriggers on the boat it's more difficult to specifically target the chinook. Considering whether I wanna put the girdies (hand crank) on this boat or not for once coho season closes down. We'll see.

Petermac - The Salmon fishing this year has been awesome!

Longliner - Was great meeting you this morning as well. Hope to see ya out on the big blue soon.
