Garabaldi 8/9 Anyone? Help too! Ifishstock
With the weather looking to be favorable for an ocean trip I was wondering if anybody is heading out Saturday out of Garabaldi? We would like to target some chinook. If anybody can point us in the right direction and any other helpful info is much appreciated. Also if anyone wouldn't mind heading out together that would be great too. We are headed to Ifishstock after that. Cheers

On the e mail I forgot to add straight off twin rocks & north to Nehalem, watch out for that southerly, its not a fun ride back if gets going good, it will pull you north pretty fast.

The Salty Dog VHF channel is 78 and I'm sure you'll find quite a few people out there. I'll be leaving the dock around 6 am if you want to go out together? Heading back in at 1pm, or earlier with a little luck! You can call me on the cell phone 503-332-7785 or on the VHF.

Re: Garabaldi 8/9 Anyone? Help too! Ifishstock
The weather does look good for tomorrow, have any of you guys been out the last couple of days? Has the wind been kicking up early? I like the weather station on the bouy report page for the station at Garabaldi, but it has not been working properly. It no longer shows the wind speeds.
I have a open bow and have fished a few times out of Garabaldi, but I like to get back before that sw wind kicks up, it can be a bear.
Are they still getting fish in close? The water temp was about 48 degrees last week on the incomming in Nehalem bay, so I wonder how far out the 54 degree water starts?
I will be there in the morning (as long as the forcast holds) putting in at about 6:00, maybe I will see some you guys around. I have a new Alumaweld 17' stryker.
