Default Newport Fishing on 8/6

This is my first post everyone, so HI! Took Sea Foam out with a couple of friends after work. We left the dock about 3PM and headed for the rock pile but after talking to wakem n stackem we dropped tackle at about 200'. Started boating fish immediately. I lost count of how many but I think we netted 8-10 fish and lost 2-3 more. Out of all of that we got only one keeper. Saw lots of dolphin and a small pod of Orcas hunting. We were back at the dock at south beach by 7:30PM. Ocean was a lake.

Congratulations on a great day, and welcome to ifish!!!!
Ya saw Orca's?? Lucky dog! I saw several humpbacks out about 25 miles or so yesterday, including one with a calf, but I've only seen Orca's once in Oregon. They were snacking on seals in Alsea Bay. What a sight--I watched one toss a 200# seal around like it was a beachball!!
Congats!!! Kepp us posted!!!
