I didn't look to see where you are located, but you might make a run to GI JOES and Fisherman's to look at their rods. The ugly stick is a good rod and reasonably cheap. Fisherman's has the seeker x-tream rods which I use and have pulled in many Halibut and oversized sturgeon. I use 80lb tuff line and crank the drag down til there is no give left. these are great rods and they come with a warranty in case they break. They won'e break as I have had one guy pulling on the rod and another guy underneath pushing up on the rod with a 10 ft sturgeon on the end. if you really want to go with lamiglass. go up to the factory in woodland and get them for a lot cheaper. I am thinking about going up there myself to buy one with rollereyes. You can get them at about 50% off the normal price if are not in a hurry and can wait for the right one to be put out for sale. hope this helps

The Ugly Stik Tiger is a great rod for the price. They are only $50.00. At that price they are hard to beat.

The Lami factory is located in Woodland, 19 miles north of Vancouver, just take the Woodland/Cougar exit and head north on the road paralleling the freeway on the east side till you hit it.
