I was turkey hunting up behind there this spring and had one walk with in 20 yards of me. He lost his battle with a load of turkey shot. He was not scared at all, he saw me at about 100 yards and walked right into 20 yards when I put the Smack down on him. One less out there.

My family had a cabin on Three Rivers when I was growing up. The head of Big Canyon is a good place. Go to Fly Lake and walk in above the Three Rivers fence line. Make sure you have a cat tag. There is at east one cat in there and it is big. I ran into it the last time I came home on Leave June 2006.
There are other place that skirt the property just go for a hike and you will find good pockets to set up on. The Canadian Bench is good also, in fact that whole area is a winter ranger for the deer. And these days a suspect elk too.
Keep in mind the landowners don't take to kindly to trespassers and there are homes around there. Be careful and know whats beyond what your shooting at. I know a bunch of people up there would love to see the cats thinned out. Let me know how you do.

You don't have to be any kind of veteran outdoorsman to call in coyotes. Just keep the wind in your face, try not to be too "smelly," wear something camo or else something that blends in decently with the surrounding area, MAKE CERTAIN YOUR WEAPON SHOOTS PROPERLY, squall out some rabbit shrieks, (tho' in March some puppy yips might be a good addition) and keep still. Remember that a lot of coyotes will make 360 degree circles around your calling spot. Best to spend a few bucks and get one of those CD callers, placing it several yards from your stand. If you feel you can get 'em close enough a 12 gauge with #4 buck'll do the job well. GOOD LUCK! ("Close enough" is under 40 yards, by the way.)

Never Miss has it right. If you go in at Fly lake like I said earlier, park and walk to the rim. The rim rock is a good place to set up. Just down a bit so your not silhouetted. And watch your back those cats around there are not afraid of people.
The wind usually blows up or, down the canyon. And make sure your rifle is dialed in. My brother in-law made a shot well over 300 yd on a trophy buck but, thats another story. Chances are a guy could just sit there and not even call and have a crack at something.
I wish the family still had there place over there. I grew up with that area as my play ground back when you could still shoot on all common areas of Three Rivers. Have fun!
