Whats wrong with people!

I have a willamette tag which as we all know has limited space. So I hunt Wed. on the private property I hunt and then come back friday to replace batteries in the trail cam and hunt, and what do I find......I freakin gut pile less than 100 yards from my stands, and they drug the buck right under them. No freakin respect. We know the responsible party and they were told they were not aloud out there! What would you do?

Turn them in to the autorities. If they were tresspassing, then they were breaking the law.

The landowner didn't let other people on the property to hunt. Report them to the landowner and hope you recover. Don't complain to much or you might get booted. I'm sure he doesn't need a headache over the whole thing. It sucks for sure.

trespassing with a firearm is pretty serious, could end their hunting for a lifetime

Report the incident to the landowner, I think he's the only one who can make a legal complaint. If you have any evidence of the trespasser on your trail cam, offer him a copy of it.

I would have had him on the trail cam accept I took it out when I was out on wed. to change batteries and didnt get back out there til friday(the gut pile was on the same trail as my cam about 50 yards away). The landowner knows and has already made contact with the person as well as an OSP guy. I hope he gets whats coming to him.

Does not suprise me in the least. I ran into 2 guys last Thursday on a 950 acre parcel that I had to have written permission to hunt. I told the one guy that I had to have written permission and he and his son left. The other guy road by me on his quad and I just gave him a stone face.

OSP has DNA testing available.

Get a sample of the gut pile and save for OSP.

OSP can contact the poacher and sample the meat in the fridge or the deer hide etc. to match to the gutpile. They did this with a bear killed over a bait pile and nailed the dude.

Case closed.

unfortunately these people are not just in your area but everywhere. I hope they get their justice and that they didnt get the buck you are after. good luck with the rest of your season.

I thought they might have got the one i have been looking for but I got him on trail camera yesterday morning at 3:45 a.m, glad he is alive but wish he wasnt nocturnal. On better note I did find a better way into my tree stand but I have to cross a creek that will likely be flooded out a little to much here in a few weeks.

bucks slip up occasionally! hopefully this guy does too... if not, you may have to infiltrate his bedding area... good luck chris, i have faith in you.
