Default new boat and fish picture

Well saturday was a rough one out of girabaldi. We fished for a couple of hours then decided to head back in to find out the bar was closed. So waited we did. This was the first time my new boat made it to the ocean. The past couple of weeks has been up at east/ paulina lakes going throught the breakin period. This was my sons first salmon in the ocean and my daughters first salmon ever. My brother not shown also got one but he had to go home instead of help clean. What a punk. I have been out in the ocean many many times in a 23' super vee and have never gotten sick. Well that streak ended saturday. Although the water was rough it was a good testing day for this boat in not so pretty water. It did great. I hope to post many more pics of dead fish landed.

JP --- I've got a 20 ft. open Boulton, also to be white, under construction. You got a beauty there.

JP,
very nice Boat indeed!
Picked up my Thunderjet on Friday and am doing laps around Fernridge lake trying to break in the 140 Suzuki 4 stroke. Looks like a twin of your boat only green with a different motor.
How did it handle in the Big Pond? Did it handle in the rough like you thought it would?

Good fishing and tight lines.

OH yes it handled perfect. Besides the downrigger balls coming off the hook and the top coming loose in the rough water everything went just fine. That honda 225 is very nice. It gets up on plane quickly and oh so quietly. Most of my fishing has been with steeliehunter in his 23' supervee with a merc 225. It was nice being able to talk to people while running the motor at higher rpms. Although I really think that tillers are a much more user friendly way to go. But it would be a bit hard with that offshore bracket I have. I also have the 15 hp kicker that ran very nicely also. All in all I am very happy with this boat.
