Had a chance to Fish with Diamondside today out of Newport. We set out bearing Northwest of the Jaws and out to about 240ft line. Water temp was around 48.5 to 49 there and we picked up a few nates and one keeper. Decided to go look for 50+degree water. While in transit we spotted some jumpers about 12 miles out on the surface and stopped for a quick troll. I hooked and lost one right off on a fire cracker rig and herring. Decided to just troll around from there. The fish seemed to be spread out now that the water is cooler farther out. We fished hard all day and landed 16 and kept 6 for four rods. One was a small chinook. had many other takers that spit the hook. :depressed: Was a really nice day out there, the ocean was laid out flat
