Default GRAND SLAM !!!! on the BLACK ROCKET (pics)

Ok..we started out this morning on out of Depoe Bay and headed straight for the Chicken Ranch. When we got there we saw only one other boat, the BLACK TORNADO, We started fishin, before you knew we were hooked 2 times with nice FAT ling, and 3 times for nice halibut, turned due north and headed for warmer water. And we found it 22 miles north of the "ranch". We put'em out and headed west and bang, bang two doubles and a single, we were out of there, back to Depoe and 5 miles out go the Salmon gear 3 nookers, 2 coho.
Yes....Halibut, Ling, Tuna, and Salmon GRAND SLAM!

And what do you make of these

Now, that trip is gonna be tough to top! Thanks to KJ and Lynn. You guys are top notch and Bill you are an excellent fishing partner. I'm gonna reserve bragging rights for some time for this one. It's gonna be hard to pilot my own boat again.

Unbelievable!!! Details soon in the sports section...

(Just got home from a second day on the water at the Rockpile...salmon were a little more scratchy than yesterday, but we gottem...wind came up, too...ride back was about three times longer than it would've been with CK...Black Tornado said they stayed out there most of the day and didn't go for the quadra-fecta...

Heya Wak, I don't know about last year, but I heard someone did it in '01 . Of course, that was before there was all this glory associated with it

Actually, I believe someone...not an ifisher...did a grand slam a few weeks ago with a halibut taken inside 30 and out of Garibaldi...Jeff told me about it at the marina. Probably more of them out there, too...but it was still a hoot!

I'll call the Hatfield center tomorrow and ask about the dolphins...They definitely were not killer whales, but could be pygmy or false killer whales or a melon-headed...I think anyway...

Bill, it was great to talk to you at the dock Friday evening. Glad you had such a good day. Congratulations to all of your crew on the "Slam."

I see you talked your captain into going to the pile on Saturday. You should have seen the seas at the ranch Saturday! You should have seen the calm seas at the pile on Sunday!

Lets go fish, you can do a home remodel anytime, halibut and tuna only come once a year!

Stay in touch,
Jerry

Right on Team Black Rocket!
Looks like you've got a regular CAPT KUJO Platter there.
I'll have to get back out there with you when I get back from Hawaii on the 27th.
of July. I'm needin' some more TUNA! Can't seem to get enough. I need to get some for the rest of the family now.
Kenai, sorry I couldn't be there to splash you with green vomit again. Maybe next time huh? I'm having a heck of a time getting someone to prescribe me the "cocktail" (anti-motion sickness) that KJ and DOLPHINLYN use. I'm getting the Scop-patch thing with minimal results. I guess I'll have to start putting on the patch the night before.
Ripping good show old Boy,
Ragnar
