Boat Ramp at Drano
Does anyone know if the boat ramp at Drano will be open for Springer season? I have heard that it will be closed during new ramp construction on the other end. It Would not make sense to close it all down during springer season, but this is what I have heard. Thanks in advance.

Re: Boat Ramp at Drano
Bob, what were you doing down there anyway ? I'm sure you were "pre-fishing" (walleye anyone)for that one springer that went over Bonneville on the 10th  ! Heck, you've probably got all structure and logs GPS'd so you won't loose any of the "new top secret" plugs that you're going to be field testing this year!!!!LOL

LOL... nope snit had to go to Portland and came back Hwy 12 so I could bring my dirty boat home from the Cowlitz.
After a week of cleaning, it's starting to look pretty good! ..........10 more days and I'm starting springer fishing.

Re: Boat Ramp at Drano
I was told it will open for Springer Chinook(my guess is March 15th) and close again May 15th. Then it will be closed until launch and parking lot are finished aprox. August 1st....I took some pictires of the work the other day and will post them on here tonight.

Re: Boat Ramp at Drano
Here's those Drano launch pictures from last week, a lot of work has been done scense these pictures were taken.
They're startin to lay the launch and doing lots of fill work to increase the parking area.

The new launch will be where the northeast corner of the old parking lot used to be(by the flume sign) and you'll be launching to the northeast.
This is the east end of the parking lot, where they're adding fill to make the parking lot bigger.

Re: Boat Ramp at Drano
Bob, I passed your card on to a local businessman from Cashmere yesterday. He was pretty interested. Good pictures too! The more room the better at Drano.

Re: Boat Ramp at Drano
Now I kinda wish there was a way to limit the boaters, with this I bet the crowds will double easy.
