Either Johnson, Johnson or Johnson

Did I mention Johnson?

Have a good time no matter who wins

P S Got some extra room in your suitcase so I can sneak in?

Exclamation Re: heading to arizona for nascar race sat

I've been to 5 NASCAR races. Never been disappointed. You will have a great time. Wish I was going too.

If your'e not taking a scanner with you, then be sure to stop by the Racing Radios tent at the track and get a Fan Scan. You can hear all the drivers and see the in car cameras. If you decide to go that route, don't worry about dropping the thing off after the race. For $8.00 you can just UPS it back to them.

Also I have found the scenery has always been good at the races. Both on and off the track.

We'll look for you in the stands. You'll be the one decked out in the NASCAR shirt right??

you will have a blast!!!! there is nothing like being there live, TV doesn't even come close giving it justice. honestly i am not even a huge nascar fan and it was one of the raddest deals i've ever been to. get down on the straightaway right after last corner where they are REALLY gettin on it and enjoy the decibles and hot flying rubber. I would post some pics of the huge party outside the stadium but this is a family sight...don't forget the morning after meds!!!!!

Personally, I'm not Nascar-insane like so many--but my mother and kid sister definitely ARE. Doesn't seem to be anything about that sport they don't know. Both have been to the AZ races and both recommended it to me (pointlessly.) I can see why so many are so enthusiastic about these events, but me, I'll take a good ballgame anytime.

Thumbs up Re: heading to arizona for nascar race sat

I'm already down here in Arizona. It was in the mid to upper 80's today. Roasting hot. Went to the Nationwide race today. Oh my gosh, what an event to see and hear in person!!!!

Can't wait for tommorrows race...43 cars, each one at almost 800 hp, with no mufflers. The roar is deafening!

We have awesome seats near the start/finish line. We rented the headsets for the weekend that monitor the race teams communications, as well as the race broadcasters that call the race lap by lap. It's pretty cool to hear the behind the scene's stuff in addition to the regular play by play.

Being here in person is truly a NASCAR fan's dream. Television just doesn't do this sport justice. You would not believe the atmosphere. BBQ's smoking everywhere, cold beer, food vendors, event merchandisers, displays, interactive activities, television broadcasts, live music, race cars, and the plethora of tens of thousands of people of all wallks of life, and dressed in every conceivable manner.

No autographs or used lugnuts yet, but a lot of new clothes, digital pictures, and movie clips are coming home with me.

My wife had one of her NASCAR dreams fulfilled today

The goods - Race tickets for Saturday and Sunday, plus pit passes for both days.

Both of us at the live SPEED Network broadcast

Wreck during a restart. Can you see the green flag waving in the center of the pic?

Tom, fantastic report, brother!!! Is the Mrs. gonna drive that thing home? Glad you two are having a great time!!! I watched the Nationwide race today hoping to see you walking behind someone being interviewed. Looks like you've got a pretty good vantage point for the race. Hope to see your report on the cup race tomorrow. Get a pic of Carl taking the checkered flag for me. I look forward to the full report when you get home!

You guys who were there sure got quite a show today - right up to the last car crossing the finish line. Some spectacular wrecks. Can't wait to read and see the rest of the story.
